L'eau
WHEN WILL THE RAIN STOP?
Rain, sleet and hail lashing down,
into the oversoaked ground.
Water pouring from the hills,
Where can it go?
The rivers groan,
'No more, no more'
And burst their banks onto farmers fields,
And Mankinds land.
Lanes are streams and pastures lakes,
Down to the sea the water tumbles.
Stand by the sea, which can take 'more and more'
and look up at the sky.
Black, Black clouds.
The sun breaks through
and there, the beautiful rainbow.
Storms and tempests rage around,
Storms and tempests soak the ground.
But at the end the sun appears,
just look for the rainbow which never ends.
When will the rain stop?
